If your spa needs warranty service, how will you feel if you get a bill for $75.00 for a warranty trip/ travel charge. Most dealers charge each and every time someone comes out to the spa. We hope they mention this when they sell the spa, most times it’s not talked about. Trip/ Travel charges for warranty repair are NOT AN INDUSTRY STANDARD. We DO NOT CHARGE trip/ travel charges. A dealer decides on their own to levy this fee. Ask how long it’s been since they’ve been selling the brand you’re considering. Presently, many of the spa dealers in Connecticut haven’t been selling their current spa brand for very long. How much longer will it be before they switch to another spa brand or manufacturer? The people who bought the past brands are left with no supporting dealer. It’s too bad. We see it happen every few years. Don’t let this happen to you. Right now there’s a CT spa dealer advertising 35 years experience in the spa industry, yet have no in-house service technicians, delivery crews, all while selling a spa brand for less than two years?   What else are they being deceptive about? Are they COMMITTED to the consumer? You be the judge.
Most spa brands on the market are pretty good, however it’s the dealer who’ll make it great. Here are some tough questions to help validate and qualify a dealer.
How long has your company been selling spas?

How long has your company been selling your present brand of spa?

Do you sell more than one manufacturer and if so, why?

Do you own the property/ building you’re operating from?

Do you deliver the spas yourself, or sub-contractor?

Do you service the spas yourself, or does an independent, perform the service?

Do I call you when I have a question on the operation of the spa or another Company?

Is there any trip charge for service work performed during the warranty?

Are the years of service you advertise combined among employees or actual time your company has been operating in the spa business?

Is the owner of the company a spa/ hot tub expert?
